Trailer maintenance... What is that? Sounds like something legit and it is. What needs maintenance on a trailer? Axles! Brakes! Suspension! Frame? Yes, your trailer frame should be inspected and if it's rusting out, you need to have it maintained. What is frame maintenance? Rusty areas restored, rust holes repaired with new metal, blasting and fresh paint. Paint does more than make your trailer look good, it's there to preserve the metal and prevent rust. When the rust starts appearing, which is many cases is relatively soon after purchase, you should start working towards getting it painted with a quality paint that's proven to last for years. Now about your axles, those axles are a major component of your trailer and need annual maintenance. It's true, your axles have wheel bearings that need to be inspected and regreased. You like MAJOR AXLE REPAIRS? No of course not! You probably don't like horrible traffic accidents where your trailer is junked along with whatever equipment or load you're moving.
